Broker Commissions

Don't lose your commissions from your clients...

 

When doing our due diligence prior to starting development of YachtBreaker, one of the concerns raised a few times was that brokers would probably not sign up their clients for fear of losing them and also losing commissions.

 

So here is the solution to quash any fears that you have:-

 

Firstly, even if you did not sign up your own clients, if they pay they can still sign up on their own, and have an independent account. If they did this, you would for sure loose any possible commissions should they decide to purchase from another broker.

 

When a broker joins the site, he has to agree to the terms and conditions which stipulate that all clients who are part of another brokers group are classed as their client and if you receive a reply from a client to one of your marketing emails it will notify you that this client is already represented.

Then as part of the terms and conditions, if you go ahead and broker a deal with the client, then the broker who manages this client will still be due their commission in accordance with the industry standards on co-brokerage or introduction fees.

 

If you are the superyacht broker who is managing the client, you can offer them a free or discounted account in your group to further tempt them from signing up independently.
